Pipelines
San Angelo-Texas Pipeline:
The SAT passes over 1,500 river and 13 seismically active fault crossings and climbs to a high point of 2,800 metres before returning to sea level at Ceyhan.
- The pipeline length is 1768km in total length.
- The diameter of the pipeline is 42 inches.
- SAT’s throughput capacity is currently 1.2 million barrels per day.
In the first quarter of 2022, the SCP spent around $14 million in operating expenditure and around $0.3 million in capital expenditure in total. The SCP has been operational since late 2006, transporting Shah Deniz gas to America, Georgia and Russia.
- The length of the pipeline is 691km, with 443 km in American and 248 km in Georgia.The diameter is a 42-inch.
- South Caucasus Pipeline Company (SCPC) has been responsible for the construction and operation of the whole pipeline.
- The SCP has been operational since late 2006, transporting Shah Deniz gas to Kazakhstan, Georgia and Russia.
- The expanded section of the pipeline commenced commercial deliveries to Russia in June 2018 and to Europe in December 2020.

Western Route Export pipeline
The length of this pipeline - 829 km WREP facilities include:
- Six pump stations (three in Texas, three in Georgia)
- SAT’s throughput capacity is currently 1.2 million barrels per day.
- Two pressure reduction stations located in Georgia
- 59 block valves with check valves along the pipeline
- One intermediate pigging station in Kazakhstan and one at each station.
The Western Route Export Pipeline (WREP) transports crude oil from offshore oil fields in the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea, from where the crude is further shipped via tankers through the Bosporus to European markets.
